I don't know he exists (the business) anymore.... and my last notes to myself were "that's not what I paid for, WTF". I paid over a grand and don't know that I got what I thought I was paying for (actually I know for sure I didn't get what I thought I paid for, just don't know if what I DID get will work). I should have walked away when he asked me for wiring diagrams of the factory cruise system on my 92, after supposedly being the guy supplying the solutions to FM. Seemed odd that he wouldn't know all that stuff if he truly did have PNP solutions.

The email I had was adam@hotrodtherapy.com but again, I wouldn't say I recommend him.. For me the verdict is still out. Last emails I had were Oct. 2016, FWIW.

Anyone using the stock controls along with Dakota Digital's CRC-1000 unit?

https://www.psiconversion.com/produc.../CRC-1000.html

I'd really like to retain my factory stalk and button. 1991 NA6 with a new LS3 and PSI harness.

I'm working on a 5.0L Ford conversion with a stand-alone throttle-body EFI, so no need for the factory computer anymore. I have a 2002 NB, and I understand that these still have a separate cruise control computer. I don't have the engine out of the Miata yet and the cruise works just fine. To carry this over to the V8, I'm assuming I will need to retain the stock speedometer, driven off the T5 transmission (to get the speed signal)? I was hoping to go with a GPS-driven speedo so I wouldn't need to sort out drive gears and calibration. Is there another path to make use of the factory cruise setup (with a carb-type application)?

Thanks!

I did some additional searching / reading on the site and it appears that for those who were able to retain the factory cruise control after installing a V8, the calibration was way off and they suffered surging on acceleration. Sounds like even if you can get the hardware to work, it does not respond well to the V8 transplant. Sounds like an aftermarket servo-controlled solution works best.

That being the case, I won't try to preserve the original cruise system and will move ahead with my GPS-speedometer plan. Once I get the beast together and running, I'll work on a cruise control system as "phase 2."
