TFI module relocation
I own 2 of these 5.0 converted Miatas. One has the TFI module relocated, by the builder (not me), to an area where the wipers are. The space behind the firewall. It seems very happy there. Don't know how rain will affect the module over time or how much could really get in there but I don't drive these cars in the rain. They are toys. The 2nd car has the TFI module relocated to a spot right above the drivers side exhaust header. Not good, I had one module go bad on the drive from the delivery truck to my house. I was thinking about relocating the module to the same spot as the module in the other car. It would definitely be a cooler environment. I know Jason makes a relocation kit, that's not the issue. Where to mount it is the issue. What do you guys think? Thank you in advance.-Brad

Hi Brad,
I would mount it in the area where the vapor canister is. Its is very well protected there from moisture and heat. Jason's relocation kit, it is a good investment as it makes it easy. I would not put it where the wiper cavity as its a heavy moisture area.
Cheers

Hi John,
I was just trying to get it out of the engine compartment heat altogether. I'm assuming that you are speaking of the area behind the right side headlight, correct? -Brad
