Default Ford Ignition question

Ok. Now that I’ve gone with the Fitech, everything is fairly straightforward but and there is always a but. Lol
i have got rid of all the Mustang wiring so now I’m unsure how to hook up the coil wires. Negative goes to the distributor and positive goes distributor to positive side of the coil but then where should I run it to. What would be my options?
It shows that it should go to the other side of the ignition switch, what wire would I use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Well I figured it out. Bought a ready to run distributor. Dropped it in and wired it up. It fired right up and the Fitech had it running smoothly in seconds.

Scratch that last post. As this project keeps fighting me, there always seems to be the next problem. Lol
So now that I am in the final stages of a project that will never really be finished.
Im having an issue that has me scratching my head once again. The car starts and runs very well until it gets into operating temps. When warm it won’t shut off. I have to pull the distributor battery wire. It will shut off and restart just fine when it is cold or anytime under 170 degrees. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

I do not know much about the FiTech setup/wiring, but that sounds like something in the wiring related to the coolant temp switch control to the ECU to switch from closed/open loop (at least that is how it would be on a factory ECU). Could it be a setting in the ECU controller? Did you splice something in to the coolant switch wiring that would over-ride the ignition control in some way?
