Headlights dimming at idle
Car has been on the road for a few years. Driveability is great except for a bit of bucking at parking lot speeds. Stock engine as of right now.
So I was reading up some more on this... the usual suspects are TPS and IAC, but those are both working fine, and have been replaced in the past.
Someone mentioned on a Mustang forum to check the output of the alt. If the ECU was not getting full power at low speeds it could cause an issue (though I'd think it would throw a code). That got me to thinking....my headlights always flicker a bit- I notice when pulling into the garage at night. It's always done this since the swap but I have lived with it. Now I'm thinking, maybe I need to beef up the battery cable. I am currently using the stock Miata cable as I've not heard of this being an issue. Nothing in Martins guide mentions having to beef it up.
Thoughts?

Stock cable worked fine for me. I did run a dedicated ground from the (top ?) starter bolt to the welded in subframe connector since that's a straight shot to the battery ground. I'd check alternator voltage at idle, should be 14 plus volts.

Sounds like alt is good/no U/D. Check battery terminals/grounds/connections. Sounds like maybe resistance somewhere. I did add a ground on my engine, one on pass rear to stock Miata ground, and one on dr front grounded to chassis.
