a few shots of my miata after i painted it. im working on changing the side window back, i dont like the way it looks. im in the mocking stages of the build, then im going to build the motor.

Nice photos and great body work! I built a LS motor but have a buddy that went the 5.0 way and one thing that sticks in my mind is he had to shave the intake down to get hood clearance. you may check with other here and see if that way the same for them.

We shave 5/8ths out of the height of the intake by milling half of that from the mating surfaces of the upper and lower. It's really not that big of a deal ad if you go too far you can always space up with extra upper-to-lower intake gaskets. We've done this with "stock" Mustang intakes, Explorer GT-40 intakes and even an Edelbrock intake.

Thanks! i just started to play with the hood this week. think im going to go with a cowl hood. i have a cobra r hood from a 95 mustang im going to cut up and use. I feel that not many people are going with cowls.
