Talking Hey newbie here!

My name is Rob and I hail from lower slower Delaware. I have a '92 red with a Ford 302 HO, B303 cam, roller rockers, extrude honed Cobra intake, T-Bird rear with Trac Loc, and WC T5. Still working out a few bugs such as a slight vibration in the driveline but man is it fun driving "Godzilla". Sideways noise is the order of the day. Too bad snow has us locked in.

Very nice! I like your solution for the coolant overflow. You, Tony, Bruce, Bill and I need to meet up sometime and have a real run. There's getting to be quite the collection of V8's in the tri-state area. One of the original Racing Concepts cars just moved into the Philly area as well.
As far as your vibration goes:
Use a digital angle finder to check the relative angles of your trans output shaft and your differential pinion. anything more than 2-3% off and you'll get some nasty vibrations. Another solution to really refine the driveline is to go to a aluminum driveshaft. I have a guy in Reading that makes them up for me. Check out my site for details:

Very nice job Rob! I love the clean look under the hood. That's definitely one of the best looking installs I've seen.

I have a vibration as well that really comes alive once I get around 80mph. Once I hit 88mph and push 1.21 gigawatts out the crankshaft, all sorts of strange things happen! Seriously, my first guess is drivetrain angle; probably yours too like Jason mentioned. I checked my angles when I first put it all in and thought it was ok, but things may have settled and need to be rechecked. Gotta do that soon; especially before putting it on the track.

Again, nice job w/ your install and good luck w/ the vibration isolation.

Interesting.
I also have a ford 302 conversion, and tend to get vibration etc at around 150km/hr or so. Over that speed or under that speed everything is just fine. In fact, if i had to, i could probably even nail down the rpm and speed that it happens within a few km/hr. It seems to only happen under specific conditions. Its easy to hold it there if i wanted to.
If i work the gas in the right way (i don't, but i tried once to see what would happen) it gets to the point that my whole dash shakes and i can feel heavy vibration throughout the transmission area.

Again, this is only if i make it happen. Normally i can just accelerate through that speed and only notice light vibration for a moment.

doesn't really bother me, since i have no need to be at that speed (except passing i guess). Interesting that I'm not the only one who has a vibration issue. I bought a new transmission mount that i will replace shortly (old one looks quite worn and damaged), but maybe that wasn't the problem.
