The way I did mine, using the SN95 PS pump and the Miata rack, was to take the high pressure Ford line, cut the pipe at the bottom, cut the nut off the Miata fitting at the rack, put it on the Ford pipe, and flare the end of the Ford pipe. Any minor leaks were helped by a thin brass washer from the hardware store. Worked fine for 9 years and 24k miles. As I recall the fitting going to the Ford pump is a special swivel fitting, or it had a plastic ring on it; anyway it wasn't supposed to be tightened that much. I had to bend my Ford line to make it fit the space available in the Miata but it was fine.

oh boy. If I remember correctly, I had a power steering pump with one of those pressure sensors on it (to tell ECU so it could adjust for the load? was not connected up though). What ever it had on it (this is crazy) I was literally able to go to Home Depot and found a brass double flare fitting that the original Miata pressure hose threaded onto and it also threaded onto that pressure sensor. I eventually got a regular fitting for the PS pump (no pressure sensor) and then went to a hydraulic hose store where they fabricated up a complete hose with the Miata fitting for the rack end and the Ford fitting for the pump end.

Note that the original setup worked fine with no leaks but I wanted to get rid of that huge pressure sensor and clean up the overall look with a proper hose.

I used the SN95 pump and these fittings from JEGS. Part # 908-5550P. Same size in side of pump and steering rack. Made my own line with AN6 fittings for pressure side. Stock Miata hose fit right over nipple on SN95 pump for non pressure side.
