Default To anyone with a Hickock 453 Tfi intermittent ignitiion analyzer

This is for anyone that has this piece of test equipment. When I hook it up to a running engine the "No Computed Advance" led flashes. It does not come on and stay lit continuously, it flashes with a somewhat regular interval. Is this normal? I think probably not but I don't have enough experience with Ford 5.0 EFI engines. Yes, the spout connector is plugged in. If this had a carburetor and a mechanical distributor I would already be out driving it. Please forgive my ignorance of what should probably be obvious. Thank you in advance.-Brad
