Default 2001 Miata, LS1, Holley Terminator Questions

I have a 1998 LS1 from a Corvette, that's going into a 2001 Miata SE. I have the factory ECU and harness for the LS1, but no Gas pedal, and it is drive by wire. Also not sure, if the setup came from a manual or automatic Vette. Because of these factors I've been thinking of running a Holley Terminator X instead of the factory ECU, and a cable operated throttle body. The Holley comes with a new wire harness that covers the majority of the wiring, so I could sell the factory harness, ECU and TB. If I go this route, would I still need something like the V8 Roadsters CAN conversion box? Or since the Holley is programable, would I be able to set it up to work with the factory Miata gauge cluster? Electrical stuff is absolutely my weak area, lol. So I appreciate any kind of feedback and insight. Thanks yall.

I replied to your introductory post with a recommendation to check out my build thread as your components are very similar to what I utilized.
For the wiring harness and ECU specifically, you can tell which flavor of harness you currently have fairly easily.
The transmission specific connectors are different between the auto or manual and physically look different.

I also was most concerned about the electrical and wiring when doing my conversion but it actually ended up being one of the easier parts of the build.
The wiring portion is one of the later things you do, so you have plenty of time to decide on those specifics while doing most of the swap.

Thanks for the reply. I'm definitely checking out your build for reference. Trying to get as much info as possible, and hopefully avoid any painful mistakes.
