Part out pricing assistance
I'm not sure if this is the right area to put this, but I need some assistance. I finally posted up on craigslist that I am parting out my miata (basically selling all the pieces that I am taking off the car while I do the conversion) and need help pricing items as the get requested. Not only will this information help me, but hopefully others can check this thread when they go through the same thing.
The car is a 1991 Miata. I will give details about the parts as they get requested. If you can please help me give the items a price, that is what I am asking for.
The first hit is the wheels and tires. The wheels are the stock wheels that came on the car. Good condition, no dents. Tires are almost new. I will get tire brand and model along with pics if needed.

I hate to say it but stock 1.6 parts are worth squat. I had the engines from the pre-1994 cars I converted lying around until someone finally just hauled them away. The 1.8 1994 parts by comparison were very easy to unload and for a decent price.
If the miles are low and the engine is not a short nose you may be able to get $200 to $400 for it. The trans is universal for all years 1990-2005 so it may sell for $200 if it's in good shape. If the rear is open make a door stop out of it. If it's a viscus and in good shape you may be able to get $100 or so for it.
A spec racer will take the ecu, air meter and exhaust header. They like to have a bunch on hand that they will swap out looking for just the right combo that yields an extra 2 hp.
For any aftermarket stuff take the new price and ask for 60% to 75% of that depending on condition.

Sorry I read "basically selling all the pieces that I am taking off the car while I do the conversion" as looking for prices for that.
I sold my wheels and tires for $650 but they were 17x7 Mazda speed wheels with fair tires so it probably dosn't mean much for your situation.

Gotten multiple requests for prices on the wheels and tires. Now have gotten a request for the exhaust. It was on the car when I got it so I have no clue on price. It's a complete Borla stainless exhaust. No cat. Header to tailpipe with Borla muffler.

Stuff like that I usually price new and if it is a high demand part like that I would price at about 75% of new and see how it goes. It's easy to back off but hard to go up if you get tons if hits.
Also things to consider is if it is high dollar and easy to ship I usually would go more like 85% of new but stuff like body parts that are hard to ship I would be more like 65%.
Overall I would rather not try to squeeze every last dime out of it and sell it quickly.

All this stuff has been put on the shelves in my storage since it was pulled. I'm just posting to get what I can. I will try a couple times and sell what I can and toss the rest. I know it's not worth a lot, but money is money.
