Default 7.5 rear end

Hey guys, I'm new on here and have some questions to get off my mind. I have been reading up a fair amount on the Ford 7.5 diff axles and hub options.

-I'm wondering for those who have the 7.5 in their NA's/NB's, what setup did you use for axles/hubs and where you got them.

Due to exchange rate for CAD to USD, I'm looking for local options but am having troubles starting my search. A few have mentioned using Martins Broached hubs and his ready to install CV's but paying close to 40% more, it's slightly out of reach for me. I already have the diff itself and the monster miata conversion bracket installed but want further input from those of you who have gone through successfully with their rear end swap.

I have attempted to find shops locally to cut and respline the axle shafts to size but have come up with no results.

I know the topic of the 7.5 has been covered numerous times but I have found the forums to end prematurely with not quite enough insight as to where is the best place to have the options fulfilled. Please if you have any insight for me or just want to tell me that the 8.8 is a better option, please do comment. Thanks in advance v8miata forumers

Just get the stuff from Monster Miata. It is proven to work and fit.

I second that. Worth the money in the long run to not have to try and figure out/piece together a setup that is questionable.

Cool

I will third that,
I am somebody that likes to do things on my own just because that is who I am, however in this case just save up for the Monster Miata parts from Martin. I purchased the 1.25" axle bars from Fact0ry 5 while they had them for $65US ea and installed them on a set of Reman 8.8 T-Bird axles, however this forced me to use the larger CV's taking away precious exhaust room and possible shock relocation, still testing clearance. I did find a local retired machinist that will cut splines and broach, however I was on the hook for the purchase of the broaching die. Martin has done his research and his parts fit, will save you money in the overall build.

Good luck

Thank you both for the input. I think I should put a little bit more time into the thought process of how I would like my build to go.
