Taking the Plunge!
Hey guys. Some of you guys may know me from Miata.net where I have been a member for 14 yrs. I have owned my '92 Miata for 15 years now, and recently decided to toss an LS into it. I am looking forward to learning from all of the v8 Miata vets on this site, and figure that combined with my experiences modifying just about everything on my car during it's 4 cyl configuration, I should be able to come up with a pretty decent build.
With that being said, I thank you in advance for all the help that I will get from this site.
Stay tuned for my build thread.
Parts that I have already:
-Fully forged 5.3 aluminum LC9 block, 58X, pedal, ecu, harness
-243 heads with all the goodies, LS2 intake/throttle, comp cam custom grind
-V8r subframe
-Viper t56
-Ford 8.8
-PT 76/75 Billet/BB
-And a bunch of odds and ends, you get the idea though.
Thanks guys. Have a great day.
-Chris B.

Minneapolis - as in Minnesota??? For real??? Yahoo!! Do you know Steve (Scuba Steve) or Jake (cleenehaus) from your fair city? Wow am I ever excited to have another representative from tundraville here!
LS in an NA you have come to the right place for sure! If you ever want to see one up close and personal I'm 2 hours south of you and would like little better than to hang out and talk V8s with you. You will find no better example of how not to do it anywhere than my build!
I know it's a long shot but have you seen the mitty thread? https://www.v8miata.net/annual-membe...as-mitty-1893/ There you can see them done right and we'd love to have you!
Can't wait to hear your plan and see the build thread start. I'd say you have more then enough piles of parts to do so! Wow 15 years with the same car that is epic and you are in for the ride of your life!
OK I need to settle down and go back to work now. I think forgot to say welcome to the forum...

Thanks for the comments man. I would like to attend a meet sometime when my car is on the road. I have a long journey ahead with a lot of custom fab. I am excited for it though. It would be awesome to roadtrip up to BIR with a group of LS miatas.

T56 out of a viper, going to use a 6038 QT bell and I will machine the input to fit. The driveshaft will obviously be custom due to spline count.

That's it. I started making offers until they accepted. I have had my eye on this kit for a year now. ETA is early April as these are built to order.

Cool. I probably did come across it but didn't camp long due to the price. You should post up the question in the axle area as you would have a better shot of guys seeing it. I bet the turbo and LS7 guys know about them.
