Hey all,
This is my first post of progress on my white '92, Casper (ya gotta name 'em)
I built a 2x3 mild steel frame and bolted in an 8.8" out of a 2000 Exploder. Suspension's C&E 4 link, Tokiko rear coil overs. Home made 6 point roll bar. Front brakes are Corrado conversion. Going SBC & T5 route. Hope to be fabbing motor mounts this weekend. DJ

Very adventurous! I hope you will keep posting your updates and give us a little background info on how you decided to build Casper with a twist. Gonna be a killer little dragster! Thanks.

Engine pics. I'm feelin 450 horse on pump gas. The NOS two stage nitrous will have to wait until I feel braver. The exhaust might get kinda weird...

I really appreciate that! It would appear most 'builders' are buying all their parts, fabbing nothing. I'm looked at as a caveman. That doesn't bother me. I built an LS7 powered 68 Corvair, a 383 powered Isuzu Amigo for myself while I was working as a restoration mechanic. No flying aardvark parts out of a catalog... Now I'm building a racecar to thrash, NOT a show car to hide behind velvet ropes at a fairgound.

motor plates/ frame mounts
After getting beat to death at work this summer, I'm finally getting a breather, and time to work on my swap. Hand made aluminum front plates, 3/8" steel mid mount. Left mid plate mount had to be moved 3/4" back for brake booster. Scrapped reversed headers.
Sorry techinistas. Dual 625 AFB's, TH400, and dual point distributor. Could have done hei, but it just didn't feel right... Just a caveman at heart!

p.s., I know some people think I'm building another dog.
