Default Speedometer cable

I have an 2003 LS1, and a 2006 - 6 speed in a 1990 NA. Trying to figure out best way to get the speedo hooked up. Is the Dakota Digital the best way to go, or just the easiest way to go?
I believe the tranny has the mechanical gear w/ the electric pulse adapter, that converted to the Camaro speedo. Is there a cable to go from tranny to speedo, or an adapter of some kind, to make it work?

I believe installing a NB dash will solve your issues, you will have to search for the info though as I do not remember where I read it.
