Default She's ready for the Dyno

I started this project over a year ago when I started to build the iron block LS2, got the Miata last September and she's scheduled for a Dyno tune next Thursday. Thanks for all the help you guys provided me along the way

Looks great!! Nice attention to detail - looks OEM-plus!
Jealous of your finished AC lines and think I spy some Gates radiator hose shrink-clamps.

Looks great Jerry, I'll be in the same boat in a few weeks. Which AC setup is that?

She's back from the dyno and the final run was 380hp and 400 ft/lb at the rear wheels. When i was building the engine i was shooting for 400hp at the flywheel, based on the rear wheel numbers what is your guys guess at the flywheel hp?

Thanks

That's a subject for much discussion, but the internet lore puts losses at the chassis dyno at about 15-20%. Or more. Or less. So assuming 20%, you're at about 475 hp at the crank. Probably more than adequate no matter what the exact number.

I took a look at the LS3 numbers at Project Thunderbolt just as a frame of reference. GM advertises the 6.2 L LS3 crate motor at 525 HP, 489 TQ. Tom's chassis dyno run was 433 HP, 411 TQ. So your numbers stack up pretty well against those.

Side point, it would be nice to see what your weight distribution turns out to be.
