Default pulley set recommendations

Can anyone recommend a good pulley set? Since my engine came off an Explorer I don't exactly have the pulleys for everything. I bought a cheap set online and the stupid things don't fit.

I swear the hardest part of this project is trying to get all of the right parts for the engine.

Are you using Explorer accessories?

Are you using the correct length water pump? Explorer, Mountaineer, Thunderbird, & SN95 Mustangs use a shorter pump than the Fox-bodied cars.

I am using a stock replacement water pump for a 1993 Mustang GT. I found out about the water pumps being different (and timing chain covers) the hard way. I also have all the accessory brackets from a fox body, and a new alternator from Summit. I don't have an A/C compressor at the moment but am planning on getting one. The only thing I will not have is power steering (the car never had power steering).

Use some factory pulleys. Don't use any underdrive pulleys unless you enjoy high engine temps and dim headlights.

The problem is finding factory pulleys - my local Ford dealers don't sell stock pulleys for the old fox bodies anymore.

I think I have mine laying around if you strike out on new ones. I used the BBK underdrives in my build.

I'm glad I stumbled on this thread, I'm having the same issue and I don't want to use under drives
