Default AC?

I recently bought a 1993 Miata with a 302 and T5 from a member here. I plan to add AC, has anybody done this? I am concerned that a Foxbody compressor will not fit, I think some frame mods would be required for the power steering pump once it is moved to the lower location, as the AC compressor will be mounted where it is currently.

Thanks for any advice.

There are several folks who used SN95 accessories and at least on an NA had to notch a frame rail. Not sure about other accessory drives and their clearance. I have no intention of carrying over AC (I live in northern Ohio), so that's the best I can do.

It's been a long time since I built my car and I sold it a few years back, but memory tells me that I used the monster miata kit and kept Mazda PS pump and used Fox A/C compressor and mount bracket.

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking that converting to an electric power steering pump would be a good solution to the space issues - anyone done this?

Great question. I don't think I have seen electric PS in anyone's build thread. A number of people have eliminated PS / depowered the rack, but I prefer to keep the PS with that big V8 lump in the nose.

I want to keep power steering as I am running larger tires. I think there are some electric pumps that are popular for conversions so I will look at them.
