Ive got a 97 miata. I dont live in an emission county, but im sure ill move eventually or someday it will become an emission county. When i swap a 5.0 into my car, how will the emission work then? I am completely in the dark when it comes to this...

 

You will probably be screwed. Put the engine in an older model Miata.

I am wondering about this as well but I live in Ca currently and just picked up a 93 Miata that is already done with a 93 5.0 Ford. The funny thing is the car has cats and passes Ca smog but CHP sent it to the referee and they wont pass it on the visual. I have a address in AZ so I went and spent 25.00 buck and got a plate in 5 minutes...

 

Find an earlier junked (94-95) Miata and use the title, vin tags and a portion of the firewall. It is the same car. Once again the powers that be have tied the hands of the little man with their poorly planned rules and bull crap.
