Life has happened in the form of two kids so up for sale is my 91 ford swap. Going to be asking $11,500 obo. I’ve owned the car for 7 years and just did the swap over last summer/fall. I’ll do my best to detail the car and swap below.
The car is a former STS class autox car so it has a full interior but is very bare bones otherwise. It began life as a B package car but now has manual everything, no ac, no ps. The chassis has 130k on it.
The swap was done using a mountless V8R subframe, Martin’s trans mount, a custom diff mounting solution, and Martin’s axles/hubs. I chose to do it this way because ground clearance was important to me and the V8R subframe allowed the use of some off the shelf headers that allow the exhaust to exit through the trans tunnel.
The engine was a spare that a mechanic had laying around out of an 88 mustang. The mileage is unknown but I tore it down, cleaned it up with new gaskets, pushrods, and anything else that looked like it needed replacing. Compression test after reassembly showed consistent numbers across all cylinders. It’s running on a an autotuned fox body Megasquirt PNP2 (small laptop for tuning included at asking price).
The transmission is a rebuilt t5 with standard gearing and a short shifter with a stock miata lever modified to fit. The clutch is a brand new spec stage 2 unit on an aluminum flywheel... easier to drive than the happy meal it had on the old 1.6.
The differential is a 7.5 from an early 90’s T-bird. Unfortunately, it’s an open diff. This was something I had plans to change as the torsen tru-tracs are readily available and cheap.

I've had a few questions about the exhaust recently so here it is.
The headman mixed set headers were used with a modification to the passenger side. From there it is dual 2.5" into a single 3" with a single high-flow cat and a single large straight through muffler in the stock mazda location.
There is only one o2 sensor shortly after the Y for wideband to the MSPNP.
