Mine says "Infield Parking - Camping" instead of car corral.....not sure what the deal is there

 

Hey guys the folks at MX5 Atlanta that are hosting the FM dinner need a head count for dinner on Saturday night the 25th.

LOL are you kidding? You could get in on the exhaust note alone with your car!

In my 4 yrs at the Mitty with an infield parking pass, it'll get you right to FM's front door - which is where the Miata Corral has always been anyway...

If there's a problem, the GRM guys will deal with it instantly. Once you're in the gate, it's unlikely anyone will give you any trouble. And that will get you in the gate.

Still trying to get the car on the road.......most likely will be working on it up to the last minute!!! But the list of things to do is getting very short.

 

If you haven't made reservations for a motel yet, there is a Sleep Inn in Jefferson (about 10 miles away) for $75 a night and $59 a night if you pre-pay. Just made reservations last night, so they should still have some rooms.

 

Sorting everything out with my carpool. Should be fun. Going to try and get there late Thursday/early Friday from Fargo, ND. Can't wait to enjoy the fun.

 

For anyone interested in camping, I'll probably camp in the backstretch camping area. Its worked well for me in the past and I try to get away from the action as much as possible to wind down at night.

Yeah I need to order tickets too. Don't know what my problem is, I've looked forward to this all winter and am supposed to leave 3 weeks from today but can't seem to get motivated to even get her running.

Yeah I know. I was going to get the brakes done and A/C finished and have a weeks worth of road testing before the trip and now I'd just be happy to get the transmission in it in time! Well, my kids will be home for Easter so I'll get to her next week but I did order tickets and will be there one way or another...

 

Interesting to see where folks are at coming to Mitty. I'm not sure on one of the Canada ones or if the California guy is in CA or not and I didn't put the maybes on the map. I wonder how many maybes are still maybes and if Gator worked things out. Hope so...
