Wanted to say thanks, as well. Pretty cool of you to offer to us the corral & a taste of the track.

Will weigh in on the T-shirts through Jim's link.

That happens to me all the time. Just call your boss in the morning and tell him/her you have something in your eye and can't see coming to work today!

In our family, that's referred to as rectal glaucoma. "I just can't see my butt coming in to work today".

I don't know how I missed this, man I would love to come, but this is my first year autocrossing and even #4 is right in the middle of it. Since my Monster isn't done yet, I'll wait until next time. Maybe I'll make the run out there for Sunday. We'll see as it gets closer.

Can anyone confirm that all of the vendor email blasts went out? The list seems to have gone stagnant.

I'd say so Jim. I did Touring Laps last year on Friday. Large crowd on the track but with some fast-paced laps during the lunch hour, I believe. We did get up to 90+ mph Down the front stretch between the paddocks.
As Keith said, Saturday was TOO busy and crowded. I watched a 100+ cars, pick ups, true race cars, vans, etc do stop and roll for 20 min along the main straight before the bridge. Don't buy a Sat Touring ticket - only Friday, but even this may be risky and no fun if they sell LOTS of these tickets...

Anywho, I'm coming in on Thursday with the V8R loaded on the trailer with required grill, cooler, pop-up shade, and chairs... See y'all there!

Searched "The Mitty" site & could not confirm; guess I could have sent them an email. Does anyone know if the $70 ticket covers everyone in the car or is it $70/person even though there is only one car ($70 Friday, Sat., Sun. + infield parking)?

HSRTickets.com
You & your car would need a Super Ticket $70.00
Everyone else in the car would need a Weekend Pass $60.00 each.

Thanks for the reply.

Yah, saw that when we searched. Was hoping that there was a waiver for passengers of participants (in this case V8 Miata corral). We have been to events where if the car is involved in the event, once the car & driver are paid, everyone else is included.

We have changed our plans to include Friday. Travel Thursday, arrive @ the track on Friday AM & then do as the Romans do 'till Sunday late afternoon.

If anyone is interested, I live in the area and could map out some fun hilly roads for us.

Fur sure Dufty map away!

Do you ever go with the MX5Atlata guys up in the hills? Have you ever started at 10 Turners Corner Rd. Cleveland, GA and gone north to Blairsville? It looks like an excellent drive in google earth!

Local knowledge is good. I've never really been outside the track boundary when there.

We have some pretty exciting news: the V8 Miata meet will be the reveal/handover of the XXXocet. For those who don't know, it's an Exocet built with a 556 hp supercharged LSA. It's still got some Miata DNA.

Other FM cars that are planned to be in attendance are Betty and the Targa Miata. This may change, but it's the most likely list.

I'm still confirming some details. Looks like there is no Friday night Mazda party, but there is a BBQ as part of the Coker Tire Tour. I don't know if that's free to everyone or just VIPs, but I will let you know as soon as I do.

I've added a page to our website to sum up the event for those who are put off by 17-page forum threads.

I found this posted on my motorcycle club's site & thought some of you that want to tour the area might find useful. 5 Great Mountain Roads Leading out of Gainesville GA - Northeast Georgia Links

Those of you coming in from I-75 south may want to consider taking Hwy20east to Hwy369 to avoid all of the Atlanta traffic, depending on the time of day.

Bummer! I knew there would be some folks that didn't make it or need to cancel but I never thought the first guy to sign up would be one of them!!

I was thinking starting at turners corners and to run north to Blairsville and beyond to the dragon but I don't know the area at all...

Hello all, this is my first post on the forum.

I just heard about the Mitty and the first ever v8 Miata meetup from Warren and am glad to say that we'll be bringing the 525hp V8 'Xp5' Exocet to the meet! Can't wait to meet everyone and see everyone's creations!

I will also gladly volunteer to show the roads of north Georgia; I've put north of 15,000 miles down on two wheels in the area and am looking forward to now doing it with the four wheel motorcycle :-) Turners corner and heading north on 129 climbing Blood Mountain is a near right of passage. Two lanes going most all the way up the climb makes for just an absolute ridiculous amount of fun. It was my go to if I had to get my knee dragging fix in...

We can run all the way to the dragon if we like, but it's a pretty long way out and with it being a Sunday and probably warmer weather, it will most likely be very crowded. Between Warren and I, I'm sure we can keep everyone more than happy with what the north Georgia blue ridge mountains have to offer!
