Went lookin' fer trouble... found it.
Last time I drove the monster it bucked a couple of times like someone was turning off the key. Limped it back home and parked it. Tried to start it a few days later, and it cranked like crazy (new battery) but not a pop, even with starting fluid. A couple days later tried again. Turned the key... Nuthin. No instrument lights, dash was dark. Turned on headlights, they were bright as can be. Anyway, got to digging and found a burnt ignition switch and the six wire connector that plugs into it. Thinking back, the PO had mentioned that the starter had stuck on once even after the key was off. He replaced the starter...
I feel lucky the car didn't go up in flames.
Where can I find the connector that plugs into the ignition switch? Anyone have a spare for my 92?
