Default Water Temp Wire

Been lurking for a while during my SLOW build. I am now wiring the car and have a quick question to make sure I make the correct connection

Where is the Water Temp wire. Everything advises the wire is Black with Blue and cannot find it anywhere.

Looking again I found a black/blue wire that goes to a 6 pin plug. Is that what I am looking for?

Thank you everyone! This site is great! Cannot wait to fire this baby up.

If the donor was a 1990 to 1993 1.6 liter car you only have one black/blue wire that went into the engine harness. Find it and you've got the one you need. If the car was a later 1.8 liter car (1994 +) it has a few black/blue wires that went into the engine harness. You'll need to follow each one through the harness and find the one that went to the sender on the back of the head.

Alternately you can just pull the gauge cluster and find the black/blue wire there as it heads to the H2O temp gauge. You can tap into it there instead.
