So I posted this over over on miata.net, but I am not very hopeful there, too many questions about the best sounding exhaust and coolest furry dice on the big forums.

As I am building my LS1 10AE I am to the wiring diet stage in my car. My car came already somewhat picked over for the catfish project the guy was building, so I am trying to identify all wires that are in the harness before I start removing.

My question is this: In the back right side of the engine compartment, you have the main fuse block, and between that and the side of the compartment you have a bank of three relays under a black cover. I know one relay is for the cooling fan, but I cannot identify the other two. I have wiring diagrams for the car, that in general are very helpful but I cannot find anything on these two relays. One is a black connector with two thick red/black wires, one black/blue wire, and one red/ylw wire. The other is a white connector, with four wires but I don't remember the colors right off the top of my head. Both relays have the same numbers on the side.

Anyone know what these are?

 

nevermind, I found it once I came back to the wiring diagrams with a clear mind, apparently they were starting to blur....they are the TNS or small lamp relay, and headlamp relay.

 

LOL yeah I hear you. It takes about 8 hours for all wire colors but orange to look the same!
