Default 1999 LS1 to 2003 Miata Electrical Conversion

Putting a LS1/T56 pullout from a 1999 Trans Am into a 2003 Miata. Have seen lots of good info on how to modify the LS1 engine harness to make it a "stand alone" harness, but I don't want it to stand alone. I want it to work with as much of the stock Miata electrical system as possible (i.e. guages, B/U lights, etc..). Where can I find out the best way to adapt the LS1 harness to the Miata NB? Thanks.

Thanks for pointing me to the Flyin Miata install instructions which does have a lot of electrical help. Now I gotta round up some good wiring diagrams of the NB. Know of a good source?

What wiring diagram to you need? The main engine harness from the Miata isn't used. Then there are only wires for the gauges which is in the FM instructions, and getting power and ground for coils, fans, FP relay.

I think I have a .pdf for '02 that has the wiring diagrams.
