Basically I'm saying that when it comes to that point, I need to do a lot of work that will compromise streetability. Cage, fuel cell, solid rear, brakes, tubs, wheels, tires, seats, harnesses, battery disconnect, bolt top down, fire suit, gloves, different helmet, chassis certification to run 9.99, and that all = $$$$$$$$$

That day I ran a 10.70 and a 10.83 It hooked hard both runs. Hard enough to bog the 406 becasue I didn't give it enough off the line. If my memory serves me right I was expecting to blow the tires off, so I left at 2000rpm on the 10.83 run. On the 10.70 run I left at 3000rpm, still not enough. Part of hooking that day was that it was a large event and the track was very well preped compared to other times I had been there.

So this is a street legal car?
If so, why would you want the hassle of going sub 9.99's?
I've seen too many nice street cars sacrificed to get to that level only to wind up sitting in a garage never to be used again.
If your a die hard drag racer though, what the hell...
You might want to invest in a practice tree though, some gains could be made there for sure.lol

8 pt NHRA certed rollcage
window net
fireproof clothing
neck collar
NHRA competition license
Not sure if all these are still required, but it was that way in the 90s back when I was into dragracing, though I wasn't nearly that fast.
