Sounds good to me, only bad thing is that they aren't available to middle of march

I went through a set of rears last year pretty quick, bought two new VR-1's to try out this year.

What width wheels do you need to run to make these fit without stretching the sidewalls? 15x9?

A 9" wheel should not have any stretch. My only experience with 9" wheels is from what I have read on other forums.

The maxxis 245s were found to fit and perform the best on a 10" wheel. Thought this has found to be the faster setup, it may fit within your definition of a stretched tire.

Follow the link for a $hit ton of info and pics of 245s on 9" and 10" wheels. You just have to weed through a lot of Miataturbo.com BS.

Thanks. I found a few that showed me what I would be looking at. I think the 15x9 looks a little better than the 10, but you have to roll and pull the fenders for the 15x10s correct? IIRC you can just get away with a nice fender roll.

This will probably be on an NB btw.

EDIT: The stretch on a 10 inch wheel isn't too bad for me. I can deal with that if all Ive got to do is roll the fenders and put a little pull on it.

EDIT 2: Ive decided the 15x10s look better. And they seem to only require a flat roll. Unless I find something bigger, Ill probably go with the 15x10 and those tires. I really like them.

Don't you also need coil overs to clean 15x10s?

I could have sworn they said the 9" was faster. I think it was on an NA though, so the tire stuck out more on the 10", and that's where the issue was.

Fitment with the 10" wheels depends on many factors.......alignment, wheel offset, shocks and springs, etc. Basically, when you decide to buy 15x10s making them fit is up to you. What works for some NBs may not work for others.

Can you run 0* camber and fit the 10s? This'll be mainly a street car so I'd like to keep it close to 0.

Ok. Guess I need to decide if I want to pull the fenders or get the 15x9 then.
