I hope Maxxis makes a better tire now than the 4 that exploded on my equipment trailer. (Yes all 4 threw the tread off causing major damage to my trailer, & all were less than 6 months old)

Hopefully these sell like hotcakes and more manufacturers will add this size to their line up. Id love to have the R1R in a 245...

Never had them on a trailer but Maxxis is the bees knees for off roading/ rock crawling right now (Creepy Crawlers) The racers are all jumping to them. I know contingency money and sponsorship plays a roll but the a few friends run them out of their own pocket too. I may move there myself.

Saw this as well. Not really sure why nobody has jumped on the badwagon before, I think there was one 245/x-16 made by toyo a while back, but not in production any more. I hope it opens up a few other manufacturers to make some better width tires for the Miata community, and civics would also likely be able to run these tires as well.

This, and the free burrito coupon my wife just presented me with, have made my evening.
