Default Emission stations in Phoenix/Scottsdale

I've heard stories about weird folks in one or more of the emission stations in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area who do not take kindly to a V8 in a Miata and have red-flagged such a vehicle. Seeing I'm about to go for the check - I'd like to avoid those in favor of the ones which are thrilled to see such beasts. My OBD connector works fine - it's just that it's a GM computer and not a Mazda one, and it's a 2012 crate engine in a 2000 Miata. The Motor Vehicles folks just shrugged ... no big deal to them obviously.

Anyone know of the station(s) to avoid that have the less accommodating managers?

Thanks tneyman ... I don't have any other addresses to use and I need to get it done before my 30-day permit expires so I think I'll bite the bullet and go to the Evans Rd station close to work. I'll let y'all know how it turns out! I know the car is fine ... hope they like it as much as I do.

I passed with flying colors! I suppose I was just hyped by urban legend! Took a couple minutes and it was all over. No comments from the tester, but he did ask at the end how many miles I had on it and I mentioned I had a new engine with about a thousand but the car has 130K. He gave me the thumbs up and I left ... happy day.
