Hedman mixmatch 5.0 headers
I'm currently making a few changes to my car. One involves loosing the Monster style headers with the sideswept collectors.
Recently I read that Summit was no longer selling the Mustang/Ranger headers that will work with a 5.0 Miata. Well, I was able to order a set yesterday. I called and provided part # 88400-LSO (left side only) and 89500-RSO (right side only) and after a hour or so delay, got a call with prices. Below is cost details. Price has increased since Stein posted his app. $200 purchase back in 2011, but still cheaper than buying two full sets of headers. FYI, the ceramic coated headers were $340 left and $424 right. I went with black. I'll likey do a ceramic kit on the outside and then header wrap to help with underhood heat.
In closing if anyone needs a set of these, I'd suggest calling soon since the door may close again on Summit providing these without buying two sets.

You're welcome
I spent 3 weeks talking Summit into selling these individually back in May. FYI, Summit does not split the set, Hedman does, so most of the wait was for Summit's sourcing department to verify a split was possible from Hedman.
They fit great with the V8R mountless subframe btw.

Does the driver side collector turns down enough to clear the bell housing?
I was looking at the pictures on Summits web site and wasn’t sure.
Also does the passenger side clear the stock starter?

Back on track to get the car off the lift and on the road. One of the last real holdups was modding the Hedman mismatch headers and having Jet-Hot ceramic coat them (inside and out). They showed up today, they will go on tomorrow. Hopefully life will let me stay in the shop long enough to finish up and crank the lit'l car over the next days.

Hey Ronnie,
Any updates? I recently had a custom shop redo the pretzel pipes on my setup. They found me about 3/4” more clearance but it cost me a left nut.
