Default Gas tank insulation

Im in the process of upgrading my fuel lines. I just dropped the tank and found the 1" strip of insulation that wraps around the front exterior of the tank to be dried out and disintegrates when I touch it.

Has anyone replaced this? I searched for a part number but wasn't sure what its called exactly.

Thanks!

You can get a roll of that stuff at Home Depot. It is in the weatherstripping section.
