Rear bearings destroyed
This is what it looks like when you tighten axles and forget spacers. Bearing retainers seperated. The outter bearing is stuck to rotor!
These were bought broached from Martain. When I take them in to get new bearings, is there anything special to request? Are they stock Miata bearings?
I'm kinda confused at what I'm looking at. Where is the splined part supposed to be? Anyone have pics of there broached hubs before install?

Bearings are likely fine, looks like you only need new seals. The inner bearing race is a pressed fit, to remove without a press and appropriate tooling requires a hammer and chisel and sometimes heat from a torch. The broached hubs pretty much look just like the stock hubs, it's just that broaching re-splines the hubs for the larger axles.
Good luck, RR

Yeah, I looked at a bunch of pics this morning and figured it out. Gonna remove c-clip and hammer out old bearing and press new bearings in. The outter retainer stuck on the hub is gonna need attention from a chisel.
What is the dust seal you speak of? Is it something I should purchase with the bearing? This thing fell apart in 5 pieces when it came off (my first picture), so I am trying to determine what was internal to the bearing and what was a seperate piece.
As far as I gather steps are- press bearing into knuckle, press hub into bearing, reinstall on car. Include spacer THIS time for proper fitment before insering into hub.

There is a seal that goes onto the knuckle after the bearing is installed. The outer diameter of the spacer rides on the inner part of the seal to keep water & dirt out of the bearing. OIL SEAL (G304-33-065) - $9.36 - G30433065

I've cut out all the body rust and welded n new metal, replaced the rear sub-frame due to rust but on the front, I'm just coasting along with if it ain't broke, don't tempt fate.
