Default clutch pedal travel

I am reworking some of the things on a 5.0 Miata that I purchased a year or two ago. I noticed that the nylon plunger on the clutch down switch was broken so I replaced the switch. I was led to believe that proper computer dashpot action was only possible with that switch working. I then realized that they had removed the rubber bumper on the clutch pedal. probably to gain enough stroke. Have you guys done that as well? I'm considering changing from the 3/4 master from Martin's kit to a 7/8's to gain more fluid per stroke and less required stroke. What do you guys think? -Brad
