I have been using a stock Miata clutch master, slave and line on my 5.0 T5 setup. I added length to the rods and it has worked for quite some time. Then it quit, no clutch pedal at all. I decided to replace everything with new Adv Auto parts and a one piece braided steel line.

New clutch master, new clutch slave, new clutch line and still can't get the clutch bled - even with a vacuum pump. The only thing that I can get to bleed is my knuckle.

It was a bear the last time, this time it just isn't working.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried to bench bleed the master? Sometimes it takes forever to get a master to bleed properly without pre-bleeding.

Maybe your stock master cylinder has run out of "stroke" & is unable to release a worn clutch. Maybe it is time to replace with a larger bore master cylinder like the one that comes with the MM kit?

Thanks for the advice!

There were several small issues coming together to create to kick my butt.
1-The MC pusher rod was adjusted too long and would not allow to have a full stroke.
2-The adapter fittings had loosened up slightly when I installed the one-piece clutch line. Doh!
3-The SC bleeder screw was sucking air around it when I was using the vac. pump. Added a little teflon tape about a couple of threads up from the bottom. Problem solved.

One I got it sealed up properly, the vacuum pump sucked all the air out and it is working great now.

Oh yeah, the one piece line is well worth the money! The pedal has less travel now that there isn't that crappy rubber line in place.

Some time back I found a use for that crappy rubber line. I used it to remotely mount my Miata oil pressure sender, so there wouldn't be as much stress on the brass fittings going into the block that had to support that big sender. Only hard part was making sure the ground was securely attached. That was about 6k miles ago, works like a champ, no leaks, no problems.
