Auto trans in LS swap ?

Nope, wasn't me. Yet. I did the 4R70W with 302 in a '91 BRG. No interference with the tunnel.

However, I do have a 4L60E trans sitting in the shop. It is approximately the same width as the 4R70W at the pan, which is the real problem area, other than the usual bellhousing interference, basically similar to the manual trans bellhousing. The Miata tunnel is fairly wide for quite a ways back, so the body of the auto trans doesn't really have a fitment problem. It's the exhaust routing at the pan level that could be a problem. You can see from the pics that there's not a lot of space to tuck the exhaust up into. But it's do-able and if one had to modify the bottom corner of the tunnel somewhat to gain a little room for the exhaust, well, that's what swaps are all about.

These pics of the exhaust are the only ones I have of the trans fitment.
