Default Master cylinder brace

The Miata's at the grage getting a dyno tune and alignment so I was surfing the web looking for something else to do and i ran across some posts on the Miata site about a brace for the brake master cylinder. It's supposed to stop the firewall from flexing during hard braking. Anyone using one?

There are quite a few people running them. I don't think they are really necessary if you are just cruising the car, but if you are auto crossing or tracking it then yes go for it. Jim(Charchi) made his own, which is precisely what I will do.

Default Brake master cylinder brace

Hi,
I have one fitted and its a street car. I can attest to it giving better pedal response, even on the street. There is quite a bit of flex in the firewall when you hit the brakes hard. You will be surprised.

Cheers,
