Default I need to upgrade my DMM for automotive work

I need to upgrade my DMM. I believe that the recommendation for work around the EEC-IV computer is a voltmeter with an input impedance of at least 10 Megohms. Most of the el cheapo garden variety ones are about 1 Megohm which will load the circuit being tested and potentially damage the computer. What are you guys using? I suppose that I could drag out one of my VTVM's but it wouldn't be as convenient. The Fluke 88 seems to be the unit of choice by many but is expensive. Any known cheaper ones that are reliable? I know, I know you get what you pay for. Any thoughts? -Brad
