GTO 6.0L 540whp drivetrain make offer
My buddy is looking to see what he can get for his GTO drive train. Harness etc included it's all on the car. He had a wreck but it runs beautifully and oil pan & drive train are mint. Very low miles on the build, I think around 60k on car.
Previous owner (Lambo dealer mechanic in Atlanta) built to beat a lambo.
The cam really comes alive at 3500rpm, it was nuts! Has trick flow heads, custom cam grind, grill intake, aluminum driveshaft, not sure what else.
He is considering putting it into a Lexus IS300 if it doesn't go for good money. Not sure if he will part or sell whole.

Sad thing is, it won't go for near what he has in it.
First of all, you'd probably be better off looking at comparable setups over on ls1tech.com if you are just trying to figure a price.
Second, its hard for anyone here to speak to a price with the details given. Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but a "high budget build" means different things to different people, for someone cheap like me, high budget is 3-4k, but to someone else it may mean 12k. The same can be said for a "lambo dealer mechanic". Some people may look at that as a mechanic building a motor he is not familiar with.
Just my .02

Thanks you've got a good point. I wasn't trying to overhype it, just assumed that it was a professional build (never assume). I was also impressed because it's all clean and shiny lol. The exhaust is like $2500 corsa unit so I also assumed it wasn't a budget project. One thing I didn't like was how it felt below 3000 rpm around town, but the goat is a heavy unit.
I'll definitely tell him to post it on ls1tech.
My friend only had the car for 2 weeks before he wrecked it lol. Sad day.
If someone is interested I'll get more details/pics. It's sitting in a storage warehouse on jacks atm. Most people probably prefer to build their own engines vs. buying already built.
Point is, if someone in the area is looking to swap, it's available!
