Default The Next New Guy

Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself.\

I am am the process of finishing up my Monster Miata build that I started over 2-1/2 years ago. Let me start off saying that I am no mechanic, just some guy who likes to play in his garage. Any advice is always welcome.

I used Martin's kit and found a 1990 Miata on Ebay to rip apart. I built the motor from a junked 95 Explorer block and stuffed it with a 331 forged stroker kit and TrickFlow top end kit. It will be another month or so before it is done and am anxiously awaiting completion

Here are some pics from along the way.

The car will be painted white. It is an easy color to paint and have a few ideas on how to break up all the white.

Your car is lookin' good! Nice job. Did you stay with the stock cam? What HP are you expecting from it? Looks like a track toy. Nice.

Thanks for all the feed back. I am chomping at the bit to get it on the road and is only a few weeks a way. I plan on breaking it in and then getting it tuned with a custom Chip Master Revolution Tune. I am running a Trick Flow cam that came in the Street Heat top end kit. Talking with some of the Mustang guys here around town I am hoping to be 300-315 HP to the wheels after the tune. The car will definitely see some track time but is primarily going to be a toy. Here are some of the latest pics from the body work to paint.

Very, very, VERY nice. Good job with the paint, body and installation. I can't wait to see some performance numbers!

I can't take credit for the paint and body, that credit goes to the guys at Mustang Motorsports here in Denver CO. They are helping me out with some if the items I wasn't able to do in my garage or have the expertise to attempt. I will be sure to post up all the performance numbers once I get them.
