Default Intro

Hi, My name is Bill. I am in St Louis with a 1992 Miata on which, I have installed a JRSC kit, suspension, seats, roll bar etc... Since getting an Elise, I do not drive the Miata much anymore. I now plan to do the V8 thing and will be on this forum looking for pointers. If you live near St Louis and have done one of these, I would love to pick your brain.

Welcome! Are you swapping in a Ford 302, a GM LSx or something else?

There are many good advantages to using a GM engine but still don't dismiss the Ford option before fully researching it. Check out my builds at my website (listed in signature). All three are Ford conversions and, believe me, all three are very capable of making some people wet their pants.

Good luck with your quest,

Each has its benifits. You can't beat the off line of a 5.0. But you can beat the high end of a LS1 either.

It boils down to which $$$ for which motor gets the better deal. LOL But I'm thrifty.

I like both!
