Hi from the Middle East
get your attention? ha well my name is Charlie and im just floating off the coast of yemen right now with the 24MEU but back home i am building an 02 LS2 miata with the boss frog kit, engine is out of my buddys GTO, he went with a 427 stroker LS3 block and i took his intake/cam LS2, it pushed 437 to the rear wheels in the gto with 18" rims and normal drivetrain losses... im looking to make 450 to the wheels in the miata with 15's. I have an 8.8 out of the thunderbird to fit some 28 spline axles. does anyone know if the thunderbirds had a stock posi?

First, thankyou for your service to our country.
Now. on to the advice:
If the diff tag code is formated the same as the 7.5's look for a "L" between the gear ratio numbers on that tag. For instance, a 3.27 ratio 7.5 with limited slip has "3L27" stamped on it. An open 3.27 has "3 27" stamped on it.
You can also just take off the rear cover and take a look. A limited slip will have a distinctive "S" shaped thing (it's a spring I believe) in the middle of the carrier.
Hope that helps,
-Jason
