Good to be here!
I've been doing a lot research on the V8 swap here and finally made the leap. Picked up a 1991 Miata with a 5 speed, power steering, windows, cruise, A/C of which all will be kept operational. The support and information in this forum has already proven to be incredibly helpful.
Spoke with Martin and ordered his kit.
Having never owned or driven a Miata before, I was almost tempted to leave it alone. This thing handles incredibly well and is a blast to drive the way it is! I hope it retains most of the handling characteristics with the V8 drive train in it.
I'm in Powder Springs, Georgia. The good thing here is that the current emissions certificate will take me through the 2015 registration cycle and because it will be 25 years old, the 1991 will no longer need any emissions testing going forward.
I've done a few classic Mustang restorations along with several EFI conversions. I've got a 1967 Mustang that I take to the track now and then that has a carb'ed 347 (wicked fun) that is still street legal with appropriate tires on the back and a 1972 Ford LTD convertible with a EFI 351W and 4R70W electronic OD trans. (wicked fun cruiser).

Wow I love your car collection! You have excellent taste indeed. I'm also thrilled to see another Ford kick off around here and in Atlanta no less! So how do you feel about a dozen guys crashing on your couch in April? Just kidding but check out this thread.
Great to have you on board here and thanks for posting this intro and your build thread!

I've got a large basement with one bedroom and a bathroom! Come on!
I would like to think that this thing will be "ready" by late April but based on what I read here, probably not... Sounds like fun though.
