Ok - so I have started a blog on my build. I have plans and some work in progress so far, but won't actually have the major components of the build until next week. so I frontloaded some body work to get the project started.

Nice blog, SS! Did I miss it somewhere, but was this LS in another Miata prior to yours? Or, are these Sanderson headers on there for another vehicle?

Nice build on yours too! I'm keeping up with your details - I saw lots of new stuff arrived and was thinking the same thing on the brakes, etc - that will be later on stuff, but on projects, I often get "while I'm at it syndrome" - whereby while I am at it, I may as well replace that, and this and that, etc.

No doubt, mission creep is dangerous. I've spent quite a bit more than I anticipated, but I thought "oh well, if I don't do it know..." and then it becomes a quick race to the bottom!
Glad your blog link is posted - I'll definitely be watching. The hood is awesome. Has that L88 look to me - and should help pull most of that unwanted, hot air out from under the hood. I don't think that's your first rodeo when it comes to body work!

Finally!
So the car is on the road now - and I have been driving it, dodging the rain here in the southeast USA... Check my blog for the latest pictures:

Nice job. I would like to see it in person some day. Since you are in the Atlanta area, you should check out MX5 Miata Atlanta Owners Club.

Congratulations with getting the job done. The car looks great and I appreciate the blog with its details and pics.
Couple of Q's: What did you do to resolve the fuel gauge/ wiring issue?
What did you do with the CAGS solenoid in the trans after having the skip-shift delete done in the PCM?
And was the Audi CV boot install necesary? I look to have the same set up as you with the VMaxx and big @ss CV joints coming off the Ford diff.
Thanks SB5700! Heading to Road ATL in the V8Roadster will definitely be one of my planned road trips! Hope to see the Georgia ones when I'm down there one day...

I left the CAGS solenoid in the tranny - its wired up, just not used.
I think the Audi boots were a necessity as I think its only a matter of time before the original ones were ripped by the shock. They would only have to balloon a little - and they will contact the shock. The Audi ones are a much better fit.
The NB cluster was a bit of a "cluster", but I have it worked out now. The PCM needs to be set to 4cyl tach out mode (variable 6, instead of 3) for the tach to work properly. The speedo is setup with Dakota Digital. I am thinking about cutting out the factory oil pressure and temp gauge to replace them by inserting mechanical 1.5" gauges in the holes for accuracy.
Unfortunately, I am pulling the tranny back out - something is wrong with it - have to take it back to the rebuilder I'll probably work on the gauges while the tranny is being revisited.
