PCM location
I got crazy today but it fits perfect I cut a hole in the back of the glove compartment https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.v8m...a8d772049.jpeg |
That is one location that I never even considered.
:appl: Thinking out of the box! I love it. |

I did the same thing with mine except I flipped it over. It fit good around the contour of the inner glove box |
I removed my passenger airbag and put it there. I still have use of my glovebox and a factory appearance.

Differential

Regarding the fuel pump wiring discussion earlier, an upgrade kit was recently released Trackspeed Fuel Pump Rewire Kit and https://www.flyinmiata.com/trackspee...mp-rewire.html
Mine should arrive this week, and should be good, if slightly expensive, insurance. |
Shift lever

Had a machine student turn down this eBay shift lever to fit my Miata shift knob total cost $30 https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.v8m...ad4728ace.jpeg |
Interior
https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.v8m...3adecd68a.jpeg The shifter looks completely stock it fits amazing |
Appreciate you sharing the build with us. It’s coming along nicely. ;) |
Roll bar Hard dog duece
https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.v8m...9dea14ff9.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.v8m...e2bb74fae.jpeg Much harder to install then the other hard dog roll bars I’ve done tree of the the hoop with cross bars and this was a pain in the neck. Doing it myself isn’t any help but still tough. |
I see you got the eBay shifter stick, but which shifter did you go with? Just an f-body shifter? My donor was a gto and I obviously ditched the shifter and grabbed an f-body shifter I had sitting around for the time being...but it’s only about 12 inches too tall lol. I’m thinking aftermarket shifter with a stubby stick. |

Exhaust
|
Hold on, hold the phone, I just had a serious flashback.....to Pats thread(Sorry Pat!:cheeky4:)....Such a nice build you have with so many nice parts and you choke it down with single small non mandrel pipe? 2.5"? I mean, at least it isn't as small as his was, but come one now.
I understand the sleep thing, and at the end its your car |
yes im not sure i love it yet
|
I tend to agree. I was going to have mine completely debadged "because sleeper" but once you fire one of these up, there is no fooling anybody. I'd go with a dual exhaust.
But hey, your car, :-) |
Didn't say that in any way to take away from the car you've built, and truth be told its been proven that a single 3" tube is generally better than two 2.5"ers but that assumes 3" all the way back. Those two bends appear to have a pretty deep impression from the bender.
Good thing is, it doesn't stop you, drive it around for a bit and see what you think, you can always remove it and sell to someone doing a budget friendly build down the road. |
