Any suggestions, I have used my AC in my car twice since I have had it (10+ yrs). I do hopefully plan on taking it to Florida when I retire someday. Do you guys put in the AC?

What is the degree of difficulty once it is done for, an oil change? clutch change?

Any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated.

I dont know, i think for resale AC is key and for everyday usage for me AC is key.

I think the issue with AC usage comes down to if the system was discharged during swap or not and if they want to refill it.

AC would be a deal breaker for me.

 

I've been living in TX without A/C for over 2 years now....but I'm about to start buying the bits to convert it. IT's just too hot (107 yesterday) so it just sits in the garage while I drive a slow '92 as a daily. in Texas AC > 350hp on 107 degree days.

I live in Florida now, the temps have been 95 or so lately, with heat index up to 110. I have a 2002 SE that has some AC issues, so I have a dial thermometer stuck in the AC outlet in the middle of the dash to help with diagnosis. Yesterday I got in the car after it had been sitting in the parking lot for a few hours. The thermometer said 140 degrees. Hard to imagine driving without the AC. I guess that might also explain the AC issues. I understand that even when they work right, Miata AC is not great.

I have AC and LOVE IT!!! It doesn't seem to be attracting people to the car though, which I'm on the fence in parting it out now.

Looks like it would be a stupid move to spend the money on a build and come up short on the AC. When I drove my car home from the dealership in 2000 I promised I would never sell it, so someday when I head down south the AC will come in handy.

Any idea if the the new 6UL 15 x 10 rims would be a benefit on the rear of an LS3 miata?

She has been well taken care of over the years.

 

No AC on mine. No PS, no power windows, no radio, no carpet ... at least to start with. I'm trying to make it absolutely as light as possible. If it turns out to be too uncivilized, I can always put things on later. I don't consider resale value, I'm building this for me, not the next guy who was too lazy to build his own.
