Default Accessory Drive w/part Numbers

Since I am building a car with no power steering and no A/C, I wanted a low mount Alternator and as few pulleys as possible. I also wanted to keep things as off the shelf as possible so that I could grab replacements at almost any auto parts store on the road.
This set up gave me what I wanted and as long as you are using the stock Corvette dampener it should work for any LS swap PROVIDED you have three bolt holes in the front face of the block below the left head (right looking at it from the front).
First is the CBM10738 Alternator mount. $63.11 shipped and found on eBay. It is a copy of the Camaro mount but made from Billet and includes the proper spacers off the block. Note that you do need to do a very small amount of grinding to the block (1/8" by 1/4") to clear the case screw of the Alternator.
Then there is the Alternator itself. I picked up a rebuilt 140 amp unit #8242-5n, again on eBay for $66.10 shipped.
I needed a belt tensioner pulley (Idler) 35009 (eBay to the rescue) for $10.73 shipped.
A gates belt got the nod and is part number 6PK1390 $11.75 and guess where I found it!
The only part that need to be modified is the actual tensioner. I had to trim some off the REAR of the mounting tabs to get it to line up (I did the same with my LS-1 Miata and never had an issue). UPC #00072053880311 was $40.62 shipped.
You might get better deals if you have a discount code for Rock Auto ect but this was what I paid and I felt comfortable with these prices. The parts are all of good quality and I have used them before.
I will post pics of the tensioner mods next time I have it off the car. A sawzall and a 2" 80 grit disc are all that was needed to complete the mods so if I can do it so can you!
