A friend of mine pointed out that I'd never know what my timing is unless I made a pointer that could be used with a timing light. All I did for this was drill and tap 2 holes in my alternator bracket and bend a strip of .062 nickel into this shape. I wouldn't recommend using commercially pure nickel metal for stuff, but I had it laying around.
