Default 92 Miata 302 Rolling

Hey everyone - First off I want to thank everyone out there who has posted info on there builds. Without your info out there I wouldn't off been able to pull this swap off. I spent almost every night this winter working on the and just finished the swap on my 1992 Miata this last weekend right in time for spring to arrive hear in Minnesooota.

1996 Ford Explorer - my first motor rebuild with mustang stock cam
Headmen Headers
T5 World Class Transmission
Nortern Radiator ($139) Dillon Radiator, Quality Radiators at Affordable Prices!
1995 Miata Rear Differntial extended ppf to transmission crossmember (rear diff will be upgraded to the 7.5 next winter)
1995 Miata brakes
Front Springs from Ford Escort Wagon
Rear Springs from the front miata which I need to either cut down or go back to the original miata rear springs (back sits to high). I'm thinking with a stock diff I don't need the heavier spring in rear.

I need to finish the speedo cable and my tach doesn't work. I'm using a ford automatic computer and I need to look to find out if the tach different than from pin 4 or if I'm splicing into the wrong wire at the mitsubishi power unit.

Finally posted some pictures of the build.

The 95 Miata differential will need to be swapped out this winter for the Ford. The RPM's are just way to high but its fine for this summer.

Car is a blast to drive!

CONGRATULATIONS!! First few drives (and all after) are really a blast. It's pretty simple to get a Mustang speedometer cable converted to work with the Miata speedo head, reading between the lines I'm guessing that's what you're working on. The tach, most just try and adjust it for a narrow rpm range.

What is the part number of the radiator you bought from Northern Radiator?
