Default Is it possible to run my carburated 302 with the stock miata?

Is it possible to run my carburated 302 with the stock miata fuel pump? I under stand the miata pump puts out more pressure but can I regulate down to 5-7 pounds and will it flow enough fuel for a v8? I am running a holly external pump right now, but I still have the stock pump in the tank and just pumping through it. Does anybody make a lower pressure pump that can be mounted in the stock location?

Why not remove the Miata pump & replace it with a piece of tubing & use your external Holley pump or a mechanical pump?
