To supercharge or not
From all I have read the balance goes to 53/47 wich is still great. How is that ruined?? Heck with some well place balast you'd be right back to 50/50..
And weight on the front in't good for drag racing as you need the front to rise for the rear tires to dig in and get traction. Only FWD cars need weight on the front for drag racing...

AC compressor, hoses & condensor
Depower power rack, pull PS pump & hoses
Gut inner door panels
Remove all sound deadening
Light racing seats
Soft top assembly
Yeah that is pretty much what I was thinking. Even thought about removing
The windows and all related hardware. Get rid of the emissions stuff too.
I don't think I'd go so far as to pull the windows (if they are power, change to manual). The inner door panel assembly and trim weighs a lot; if you gut the inner door panel you get most of the weight out. Probably a good idea to add door bars (Hard dog or other mfg) when you gut the door panel; they tie in the rollbar assembly to the front of car and provide you with a lot more side impact protection than the stock door parts.
i weighed 2720 iron block, aluminum head with me and full tank. one step im taking since the front sub frame gets cut up........ im putting an 06 front sub frame and suspension in my 92. it uses uhss steel witch is thinner but stronger and aluminum control arms......the other bonus is it nets bigger brakes and five lug witch matches the mustang.........i dont know hom much lighter it is but when i pick up both assemblys its a big diff. carring it.
